Bridgeview Manor Pre-Application

Bridgeview Manor (“BVM”) is owned by Bridgeview Manor Leased Housing Corporation, a non-profit organization. BVM is NOT public housing and does not receive funding from the federal government. It is subject to the State of New Jersey tenant/landlord law. BVM is affordable housing. Bayonne residents receive first preference.

Apartment sizes include one- and two-bedrooms. The rent for a one-bedroom apartment is $1,000 per month and a two-bedroom apartment is $1,150 per month. The rent does not increase or decrease if the household income changes. Most utilities, such as water, sewer, electric and heat are included in the rent. Tenants must pay for gas service directly to the utility provider. There are additional monthly charges for each air conditioner, a washing machine, a clothes dryer and a freezer (PROVIDED BY TENANT). A gas stove is provided with the apartment but the tenant must provide the refrigerator.

Applicants must have a total household income of at least $30,000 to qualify for a one-bedroom apartment and at least $40,000 to qualify for a two-bedroom apartment. When your application is deemed eligible, you will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time it was received. You must inform the BHA of any change to your address, contact information, household composition, etc. It typically takes several years for your application to reach the top of the waiting list. When your application reaches the top of the waiting list, you will be contacted by mail.
